Vice President of Sales
Summary\/objective
The Vice President of Sales reports to the Chief Sales Officer and is responsible for managing the Direct Account sales department. The major responsibilities include providing direction to the sales department, managing the Directors of Account Management and monitoring and achieving sales goals set by the organization.
Core Job Duties
Build a solid direct account management team that exceeds the company's sales goals and helps drive the business.
Ensure that the sales pipeline remains full of qualified opportunities and leads.
Monitor the productivity of the Directors and their respective teams and motivate the department to reach its goals.
Evaluate and recommend improvements in the sales administration processes as needed.
Supervise the Directors in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Act as the trusted advisor and partner to the business with credibility and influence, from strategy to execution
Lead, influence, and champion best processes and behaviors to reinforce accountability. Job Complexity Broad expertise or unique knowledge; contributes to development of company objectives and principles and achieves goals in creative and effective ways. Sought out for functional knowledge and guidance. Anticipates issues and makes considered decisions to avoid them. Interaction Collaborate with cross functional teams to continuously drive greater sales alignment and efficiencies Supervision Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments. Supervises the activities of the Directors of Account Management
Experience
Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or related degree
At least 5 years related experience within Sales Operations, or Sales Excellence
Industry experience in HCM an asset
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and presentation skills
Ability to work in a complex and fast-paced environment
Proven understanding of sales process in an enterprise organization
Exceptional collaborator and influencer driving change through ideas, relationships and actions
Ability to translate business objectives to sales goals and measurement. Physical Demands Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Travel Required Yes, up to 10% domestic travel may be required. Work Authorization Employee must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
