The Stand Together development team brings top business leaders together to solve our country’s biggest problems through financial and strategic leadership of our most cutting-edge programs and investments. Stand Together’s high-performing major gifts program helps hundreds of donor partners actively participate in the programs they support, advancing our shared priorities through robust, year-round engagement.

The Director, Donor Engagement will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to support donors contributing their experience, strategic guidance, and networks to increase the effectiveness of Stand Together’s strategies.

To be successful, the person in the role must build strong knowledge of Stand Together donor partners’ interests, passions, networks, and capabilities, with a focus on helping the group engage and lead substantively within our programmatic strategies.

Your Responsibilities Include Build shared vision for donor engagement across the Stand Together community, in collaboration with key leaders.

Build and lead a team to identify top programmatic opportunities within Stand Together investments and build scaled strategies to match donor partners into roles where their sustained leadership can improve our performance.

Collaborate with the Partnerships team (Major Gifts) to identify and align individual donor partners who can advance Stand Together’s priorities within program investments based on their background, interests, networks, and mutual benefit (with partners achieving their goals for positive social change, and our strategies benefiting from their extraordinary capabilities).

Partner with the communications and marketing teams to create and execute communications and outreach plans to sustain partner engagement in advisory councils and other opportunities.

Knowledge and Skills You Bring to the Organization 5+ years in a development or high-level client engagement function.

Proactive, entrepreneurial, and operates with a high sense of urgency.

Exceptional interpersonal skills, professionalism, and ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders with a high degree of humility and discretion.

Ability to drive program and project management for multiple concurrent projects/funding opportunities to completion through continuous transformation and an entrepreneurial approach.

Standout Candidates Will Have Experience in major gift fundraising and advisory board engagement.

Proven supervisory experience with a demonstrated background in cultivating and developing talent.
