Associate Attorney – Restructuring & Special Situations FinanceRestructuring & Special Situations Finance Practice GroupPreferred Location New York, NY Locations:CA (Los Angeles, Orange County, Silicon Valley, San Francisco)CO (Denver)TX (Dallas, Houston); District of Columbia HYBRIDOur client, a leading AmLaw firm, is seeking a talented Associate Attorney to join its Restructuring & Special Situations Finance Practice Group.This is a compelling opportunity to work on complex domestic and cross-border restructuring matters, distressed financings, and special situations transactions within a sophisticated and fast-paced practice.Candidate ProfileJD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic recordActive Bar Admission in applicable jurisdiction, in good standing3–7 years of substantive experience in restructuring, bankruptcy, and/or special situations finance transactionsFamiliarity with Chapter 11 proceedings, out-of-court restructurings, and liability management transactionsExperience representing creditors, debtors, sponsors, or financial institutions in distressed scenariosStrong drafting, analytical, and negotiation skillsLarge law firm experience preferredKey ResponsibilitiesRepresent clients in complex restructuring and insolvency matters, both in-court and out-of-courtAdvise creditors, debtors, and investors in distressed and special situations financingsDraft and negotiate credit agreements, restructuring support agreements, and related transaction documentsSupport liability management transactions, recapitalizations, and distressed M&A opportunitiesCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, corporate, and litigation attorneysWhy Join Us?This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly regarded restructuring and finance practice working on high-profile, complex matters across industries.
