Job Description
Novo Logistics is seeking a reliable, self-driven, and team-oriented professional with problem-solving, communication, and management skills for the position of Team Lead. This position is within a fast-paced warehouse environment in Whitestown, Indiana. We offer competitive compensation and opportunities for growth.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Determine work priorities, prepare work schedules, and expedite workflow in accordance with the Lead duties and expectations.
Assign tasks to warehouse personnel and assist in daily warehouse activities, including inbound unloading/put away, outbound pulling/staging and loading, sanitation, product moves, etc.
Perform cycle counts, bay audits and physical inventories, as needed.
Complete all reports and records in a timely and accurate fashion.
Communicate with customer service and transportation personnel as needed.
Maintain and ensure compliance with high standards of safety throughout operations.
Monitor and manage Team Member time, attendance, and payroll.
Train and develop Team Members.
Motivate Team Members in a professional manner.
Provide coaching through observations and provide performance feedback.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong knowledge of warehouse work instructions, safety, and housekeeping procedures.
Knowledge of company policies and procedures.
Skill in oral and written communication.
Ability to solve problems and adapt to situations requiring solutions to unforeseen circumstances.
Ability to maintain records, organize documents, calendar, and other assignments.
Ability to communicate effectively with partners, Team Members, management, and others.
Ability to multitask in stressful and fast-paced environment.
Ability to lift, move, and transport up to 50 pounds.
Availability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including planned and unplanned overtime (which may include weekends).
Ability to stand, bend and stoop for extended periods or for duration of shift (8-12 hour shifts).
Applicants Must Have reliable transportation.
Be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Be at least 18 years old at time of application.
Be willing to submit to a background check and urinalysis drug screen (drug screen scheduled following interview).
Education, Experience, and Certification High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
Minimum of two (2) to three (3) plus years of warehouse experience.
One (1) year of SAP/WMS experience.
Certification in operating a forklift.
Employment Type(s) Full-Time, Non-Exempt.
Compensation Hourly (paid weekly via Direct Deposit).
Overtime opportunities (overtime pay is equal to 1.5 times the Team Member's regular hourly rate of pay, for any hours worked over 40 in a workweek).
