---- Basic Qualifications ----
+ Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering field (e.g. Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology etc.)
+ 5+ years experience as a software engineer and 2+ years full time management experience
+ Experience leading engineering projects from planning through review stages
+ Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to encourage and empower a diverse team.
+ Hands on expertise in career development, mentorship, performance expectations, and conflict resolution
---- Preferred Qualifications ----
+ Experience with Lucene-based search technologies a strong plus (eg, ElasticSearch, OpenSearch)
+ Experience building and working with big data pipelines (both batch and streaming)
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$218,000 per year - USD$242,000 per year. For Sunnyvale, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$218,000 per year - USD$242,000 per year. For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
