Duties/Responsibilities:
+ Performs diagnosis and troubleshooting as required on fire/security, card access, door entry, paging/sound and other electronic systems.
+ Communicates with ARK team members to effectively pursue company goals of servicing systems according to acceptable standards and practices.
+ Communicates with customer concerning the importance, operation and status of their life safety system.
+ Operating/maintaining company vehicle.
Required Skills/Abilities:
+ NICET certifications a plus, but not required
+ Installation experience and prior construction experience a plus.
+ Diagnosis and Troubleshooting skills of commercial low voltage systems
+ Must have a positive and respectful attitude to maintain good working relationships with management staff, employees, vendors and customers.
+ Competent computer skills
Education and Experience:
+ AA degree in electronics preferred, or equivalent technical/Military school supplemented with 3-5 years of related industry experience is a plus.
+ Field electrical and/or electronic practical experience required.
+ Valid driver-s license
+ Able to obtain Maryland and Virginia security technician license as required. Paid for by ARK.
Physical Requirements:
+ Physically able to climb overhead or crawl under spaces to complete jobs
+ Must be willing to work at heights
+ Must be able to operate electrical tools and a company vehicle
+ Must be able to differentiate color coding of cables
+ Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at times
