Duties/Responsibilities:
+ Diagnose system malfunctions of fire alarms and adjust, repair or replace equipment as needed to bring into compliance.
+ Preparing accurate and timely service tickets and reports
+ Ability to work independently or supervise others as required
+ Complete documentation associated with fire alarm services provided
+ Customer service, coordination, and communication
Required Skills/Abilities:
+ NICET certifications a plus, but not required
+ Installation experience and prior construction experience a plus.
+ Diagnosis and Troubleshooting skills of commercial low voltage systems
+ Must have a positive and respectful attitude to maintain good working relationships with management staff, employees, vendors and customers.
+ Competent computer skills
Education and Experience:
+ Field electrical and/or electronic practical experience required.
+ AA degree in electronics preferred, but not required or equivalent technical/Military school supplemented with 3-5 years of related industry experience is a plus
+ Valid driver-s license
+ Able to obtain Maryland and Virginia security technician license as required. Paid for by ARK.
Physical Requirements:
+ Physically able to climb overhead or crawl under spaces to complete jobs
+ Must be willing to work at heights
+ Must be able to operate electrical tools
+ Must be able to differentiate color coding of cables
+ Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times
