SUMMARY Under supervision of the Chief, Governmental Relations and Legislative Director, researches, analyzes, and evaluates proposed and current state and federal legislation, legislative issues, statutes, regulations, and policies; communicates and advocates for the Association's position to influence opinion in favor of public education; develops, summarizes, and maintains reports and records; fosters cooperative working relationships among Association staff and acts as liaison with various legislative, educational, community, public, and government agencies; and performs related work as required. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Any combination of training and experience equivalent to an bachelor's degree or higher with major coursework in business administration, public administration, government, legal, or political sciences, or related field with three (3) years of experience in legislative research, analysis, and evaluation or a related field.
