Senior Lead Data Management Analyst

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Data Management Analyst – Data Governance to join the Consumer Business Data Leader team within Consumer Data & Engagement Platforms (CDEP) as part of Consumer & Small Business Banking (CSBB). This is an individual contributor role that will deliver evidence of compliance with the Data Management Policy and Procedures for the Consumer Lending and Consumer Banking businesses. The Senior Lead Data Management Analyst will work directly with leaders across the business, enterprise data governance and technology partners. This role will implement capabilities for use case data sourcing, data source dictionaries, lineage and data quality controls through the data life cycle.

In this role, you will:

Execute subdomain governance routines and monitor control performance to demonstrate adherence to the Data Management Policy and Procedures.

·       Produce subdomain governance dashboards to communicate subdomain health to business, Data Management & Infrastructure (DMI), risk and compliance stakeholders

·       Escalate data risks to Consumer Data Domain Council and appropriate Risk and Controls Committees to drive remediation of data issues/defects

·       Manage the subdomain implementation plan by validating and monitoring progress on capabilities and artifact delivery dates for desktop procedures, use case data sourcing, data dictionaries, lineage, and data quality checks to confirm data is fit for purpose

·       Deliver governance control evidence for Domain Executive attestation required under the Consumer Data Management RAU. Documents SHRP issues and implement corrective actions for under-performing controls

·       Drive funding requests and implementation of strategic approved data sources based on data risks and business priorities

·       Develop a risk-prioritized use case inventory of reports, models and analytic outputs and maintain appropriate business ownership

·       Educate business owners on use case artifacts and delivery plan for reports, models and analytics

·       Ensure data used within the business for regulatory reporting leverages approved data sources or have a remediation plans in place

·       Assess elevated risk for non-regulatory use cases identified through new business initiatives, third party sourcing engagements, or operational business activities to identify regulatory or reputational risks for evaluation and decisioning through the Data Use Assessment Panel

·       Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise and serve as an expert advisor to Deposits and Banking Operations leadership to develop or influence objectives, plans, specifications, resources, and long-term goals for highly complex business and technical needs

·       Design and conduct complex analysis to identify and remediate data quality or integrity issues and to identify and remediate process or control gaps

·       Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas or the enterprise, delivering solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking

Required Qualifications:

7+ years of Data Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

3+ years of experience delivering data governance artifacts such as data dictionaries, metadata, lineage, data movement controls and data element level data quality controls

1+ year(s) of experience within Consumer banking and/or Lending business

Desired Qualifications:

Strong understanding of risk management and controls within data management

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Ability to work under strict timelines and regulatory mandates

Change management experience identifying downstream data impacts for regulatory requirements and reporting

Job Expectations:

Ability to travel up to 15% of the time

This position offers a hybrid work schedule
