Financial Reporting Staff Accountant_

Hunt Valley

Are you a detail-oriented, numbers-savvy professional with a passion for accuracy and efficiency? Are you skilled in managing deadlines in a fast-paced corporate environment? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

As a Financial Reporting Staff Accountant at Sinclair, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our SEC filings are completed accurately and on time. The ideal candidate will have a strong aptitude for accuracy and attention to detail.

**Responsibilities**

+ Assist team with timely and accurate preparation of SEC filings, involving quarterly and annual financial reports, proxy statements, 401K statements, and other regulatory filings, as necessary.

+ Prepare various schedules and variance analysis to be used by management, the board of directors, and independent auditors.

+ Prepare monthly and quarterly close schedules.

+ Perform controls around financial reporting activities.

**Requirements**

+ At least 1-3 years of experience in financial reporting, corporate accounting, or public accounting.

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

+ Active CPA or actively pursuing CPA certification is a plus.

+ Experience with U.S. GAAP.

+ Strong aptitude for accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

+ Desire and ability to work in a team environment and communicate well with others.

+ Proficient or advanced in Microsoft Excel and Word.

+ Experience with Oracle is a plus.

+ Excellent analytical and organizational skills.

+ Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments and levels of the organization.

**This position is not a remote position and requires 5 days in the office at our Corporate Headquarters in Hunt Valley, MD.**
