The NBOME is seeking a dynamic Business Intelligence Analyst to incorporate a blend of business and technical knowledge to this role. Responsibilities
Data Review and Analysis:
· Review operational and financial data generated by separate applications to ensure accuracy and consistency in conjunction with ASC 606 re: Revenue Recognition.
· Analyze underlying processes and systems contributing to data discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
· Collect, document, map, and analyze business process and system dependencies.
· Assist management in data interpretation and identifying root causes of data anomalies and trends.
Process Improvement:
· Prepare reports and provide insight to management and leadership to enhance the decision-making process using evidence-based data to improve operational efficiency, productivity and accuracy.
· Develop and implement processes and controls to prevent future occurrences of discrepancies.
· Assist in the improvement and implementation of automation and tools designed to support work and decision-making as well as the related impacts to finance, IT and client services.
Collaboration and Coordination:
· Work closely with cross-functional teams including finance, client services, and IT to
· understand reporting requests and identify reporting requirements and make recommendations for process improvements to overcome constraints and
· resolve difficult operational and technological issues.
· Assist in maintaining and supporting software application systems used by the finance and business teams .
Compliance and Continuous Learning:
· Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices related to financial data management and reporting.
· Ensure proper data governance framework around critical data elements by following established procedural guidelines and best practices; serve as the subject matter expert on the reporting framework and design .
Qualifications
· Bachelors Degree required with a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
· 3+ years experience in financial analysis, data analysis, project management or operations experience.
· Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial report standards (ASC 606) and internal controls.
· Proficiency in using analytical tools such as Excel and financial software.
· Experience with working with internally developed systems preferred.
· Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot anomalies in large datasets.
· Ability to understand data outputs from multiple systems and their dependencies from finance, IT and client client/customer perspectives .
