This role is a unique opportunity for a data security solutions engineer / architect to make an outsized impact on the product, and as a result improve data security for 100s of customers. The goals for this role are to minimize the time and effort required to onboard, operate and maximize the value of Cyberhaven. This role will be responsible for the predefined data classification, policies, and dashboards that ship by default with the product to all customers. Furthermore, this role will continually identify new data protection challenges (e.g. ChatGPT) and build solutions on top of the product to address those use cases. As needed, this person will work closely with engineering to build the new capabilities required to support high impact use cases.
Responsibilities
Closely interact with Cyberhaven's current and prospective customers to deeply understand their spoken and unspoken needs, as well as the actual and perceived value of the Cyberhaven product to them.
Deeply understand Cyberhaven architecture, capabilities and roadmap and how customers can maximize the value of Cyberhaven with minimal friction
Identify, prioritize, and implement a library of predefined data classification and protection policies that can benefit many Cyberhaven customers
Identify, prioritize, and implement a library of predefined dashboards that will address the various personas and use cases required by our customers
Identify, prioritize and implement new detection rules that address risky user behavior
Create product requirements documents and work with UX designers to simplify and reduce friction in terms of setting up and optimizing Cyberhaven
Keep track of industry trends and emerging threats in cybersecurity and adjacent markets to help Cyberhaven identify new market opportunities.
Research the competition to deeply understand competitive products functionality, pricing, and positioning, as well as how these products are perceived by buyers and industry analysts.
Communicate product requirements and vision to the Engineering team. Write, edit and prioritize user stories; constantly communicate with engineers to clarify and refine user stories; track user stories as they're being developed; set, track and enforce the Definition of Done.
Write and maintain clear PRDs, ensure everyone on the team always understands what and why is being built by the company.
Requirements
5+ years of experience of implementing and managing enterprise security and data protection products
Deeply understand technology, have a strong intuition to estimate the complexity of product features, and ability to speak a common language with the engineers
Experience working with product and engineering teams to develop new features is highly desirable
Must be comfortable, effective, and clear at communicating with company executives, customers, and engineers, and collaborate with a variety of internal groups including customer success/services, engineering, marketing, and sales
Ability to build rapport with customers, prospects, analysts, and competitors, as well as the ability to leverage your existing network to gather market and product intelligence
Experience with data protection, CASB, UEBA, or Insider Risk is highly desirable
Experience with agile development and SCRUM
Availability to frequently communicate with a distributed engineering team in Central European time zone and other teams in the US time zones
