Our client is the world aerospace leader in dedicated lean-cell manufacturing. They are a privately held company with a 50+ history in precision aerospace manufacturing. They are lookin for a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) Operator. In this role, you are responsible to provide documented objective evidence of inspection status for products throughout the manufacturing process. The company offers benefits.
Location : Chatsworth, CA
Salary : $26.00-35.00/hr (DOE and level)
Schedule : full time with overtime

Responsibilities:
Develop and execute CMM Programming using current inspection software.
Ability to complete documents, such as rejection tags, corrective actions and any records in the support of objective evidence.
Perform and verify visual, dimensional, mechanical, and chemical inspection functions, relating to: source, first article, receiving, in process, final and test operations using company or customer supplied drawings, equipment and/or procedures.
Develop CMM Programs for First Article and production components.
Review and approve inspection/test data.
Read and interpret mechanical/electrical drawings and procedures.
Interface with customer/Government source inspection personnel.
Maintain inspection records in accordance with company procedures.
Understand and support the Quality Management System.
Generate and assist in the corrective/preventive action process and non-conforming material process.
Must use basic/advanced measuring tools (caliper, micrometer, scopes, etc.).
Requirements: Level 1: minimum 2 years inspection experience in a machining/manufacturing environment, basic shop math, ability to operate a CMM machine.
Level 2: level 1 plus minimum of 5 years inspection experience in a machining/manufacturing environment and ability to set up and program a CMM with minimal supervision.
Level 3: level 2 plus minimum of 10 years inspection experience in a machining/manufacturing environment, the ability to program a CMM using CAD models with no supervision, and ability to create CAD models.
Experience in machining and/or aerospace industry is a plus.
Knowledge of any or all of the following quality standards: MIL-I-45208A, 1SO 9001:2000, SAE AS9100, ISO:9000 is a plus.
Dimensional/surface plate experience is a plus.
Experience with a Micro Vue vision machine is a plus.
Experience using a Zeiss CMM's using Calypso software is a plus.
ITAR compliant: USA citizen or permanent resident.
Overtime is required.
