About This Role The Director of Finance & Strategy is responsible for planning, financial forecasting, developing analytical models and delivering strategic plans for MN Custom Homes. This role will partner closely with Ownership, the Board of Directors, and the Executive Leadership team. The Director will also manage the finance team providing mentorship, leadership, and development. Come join our growing company! On a Given Day, Your Work Might Include Leadership Leading and empowering the Finance team to meet company success metrics.
Participate in all employee lifecycle activities such as interviewing, onboarding, training, mentoring, and conducting weekly 1-on1 meetings.
Partner and build strong relationships with team members across the organization at all levels; supporting cross-functionally with problem solving and analysis for department leaders to effectively run their functions and promote the goals of the organization.
Finance Develop, model, monitor, and evolve the long-term financial projections of compensation, headcount, and performance management within MN Custom Homes.
Create, maintain, and provide leadership visibility with tools that drive business results and monitor key performance indicators.
Identify data and trends to support and drive business decisions.
Strategy Collaborate with leaders to develop and manage strategic plans for a high growth company.
Evaluate the execution of critical initiatives required for company success.
Participate in the development and vetting of strategic plans in core areas and across the business, including evaluation of new opportunities.
Deliver annual operating plans, quarterly and monthly forecasts, providing ongoing analysis of actuals vs plan and/or forecast and underlying models.
What You’ll Need to Succeed Bachelor’s degree required in Finance, Economics, or equivalent. MBA preferred.
10+ years of experience within finance, strategy, and leadership roles.
5+ years of people management experience.
Proven experience taking end-to-end ownership and driving results with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects or programs at once.
Strong ability to organize, prioritize, plan, and coordinate across multiple teams.
Previous experience working within a high growth industry or company.
Experience with Salesforce, PowerBI, Tableau, Python/R, and/or SQL are a plus.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills required.

Hours & Compensation This is a full-time position paying $170,093 – $272,000 including discretionary bonuses. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary range for this position. Individual placement within a salary range will vary based upon factors including but not limited to candidate experience, knowledge, individual, skills, and organizational performance.
