Typical Schedule
Employee will typically work a remote 5-day work week, Monday-Friday, as mutually agreed upon with HSi manager.
I. Position summary:
Experienced finance professional to undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. The VPs responsibilities will also include financial risk management and fiscal strategy responsibility for this growing organization.
II. Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance or Accounting
5+ years of overall combined public accounting and corporate finance experience
Proven working experience as a VP of Finance
Excellent management and supervisory skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Proficient in accounting software
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
Experience with creating financial statements
Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
Experience in generating budgets, projections and cash flow analysis
Knowledge of multi-state payroll and taxes
CPA or CMA
III. Essential duties applying for all positions:
Always work with HSi team and client staff of all levels in a collaborative and respectful manner
Be available for meetings as requested
Attend meetings and calls during core hours
Provide weekly status updates and overall project updates per the requested method(s)
Submit HSi Time and Expense reports in an accurate and timely manner
Responsible for traveling with and utilizing company provided laptop and other equipment to conduct all HSi business
Work remotely, with some travel to business meetings
Essential Duties/responsibilities:
Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and report variances
Prepare and update financial forecast models
Prepare and present timely monthly financial statement package, KPIs, and dashboards
Prepare month-end accrual and prepaid analysis
Manage loan activity and cash flow and prepare project-based cash-flow projections for 6-12 months
Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
Manage nexus oversight with multi-state sales/payroll
Research technical accounting issues for compliance
Manage month-end and year-end close process
Prepare reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts monthly, accrual basis
Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Coordinate with 401k resources on year-end compliance for matching and profit-sharing
Facilitate banking relationship
Support executive and sales teams with financial analysis, as needed
Additional VP of Finance duties as necessary

V. Physical demands and working conditions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use repetitive arm/hand motions and finger dexterity. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Requires some travel by airplane and automobile and remote work from Home Office. Requires significant time sitting at a desk, computer terminal, meeting table or during travel.

VI. Supervisory/Management Responsibilities:
Coordinate with the Director of Client Operations who manages customer relationships, billing and accounts receivable
Supervise Payroll Manager in preparation of payroll, 401k submissions and corporate accounts payable
