Business System Analyst

The Business System Analyst will be responsible for translating business requirements into solutions, preparing technical specifications, coding, testing, debugging and documenting software programs following the predefined standards and best practices. This position works in collaboration with end-users, business systems analysts, SQL DBAs, and system administrators. The individual should have experience in analyzing complex system requirements, critical business processes and information systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Application developer must be able to recognize the needs of customers, and create new applications that answer those needs. Will identify ideas and concepts for the overall success of the organizational goal: Develop and maintain web applications for use on desktop and mobile devices.
Recognizing the need of the customer this position will write database queries, functions, and procedures for the overall success of the customer’s goal.
Meet with clients and understand requirements.
Translate requirements into explicit tasks.
Monitor and test applications.
Debug code and troubleshoot errors and exceptions.
Document changes and additions to codebase.
Use source control where applicable.
Be knowledgeable of latest industry developments.
May work independently or as a team member.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Excellent project management, writing, and oral communication skills are required.
Mathematical skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, along with computing ratios, and percentages.
Reasoning ability
Must be able to manage competing demands, accept criticism and constructive feedback, while being extremely adaptable and flexible.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
Strong initiative and solid judgment abilities/skills.

QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or related discipline (preferred).

Pay Range: pay range: $70,00 - $81,0000/yr, and may include a discretionary bonus. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.

CAPABILITIES & COMPETENCIES
Technical skills:
Ability to understand and write programs that meet the needs of the client.
Can write well-documented code and use source control.
Visual Basic, Ruby, Python, PowerShell, Batch scripting, or Perl a plus.
Efficient use of Microsoft Excel and comfort writing advanced formulas.
Experience with other Microsoft Office components (Outlook, Access, etc.).
