Senior Project Manager for a 2-mile Power Transmission Line
This project is for a 2-mile transmission line for a utility company. The senior project manager will be working within the framework to monitor and report on the project schedule, progress, and budget.

Remote Option and Travel Requirements:
This is a remote role with quarterly travel to the client location in Ephrata, Washington, and project work sites in the surrounding areas. Travel could be as often as monthly if necessary to perform essential job responsibilities.
Contract duration: Estimated to be around 3 years.
Estimated hourly pay rate: $65-$95 per hour
Preference may be given to candidates who are able to drive to the office quarterly.
Candidates in the PST time zone would be preferred
Strong confidence and exceptional communication at all levels.
Leadership and strength of character to advocate for the project and be comfortable reporting every project status promptly and constructively.
Experience managing complex power delivery/transmission projects is required.
Duties & Responsibilities
Collaborates with stakeholders and reports to them on a regular basis
Creates, manages and distributes project communications, including charters, schedules and budgets
Ensures projects remain on schedule, within budget and in scope
Leads team through execution of project
Assists in business development, such as proposals, RFPs and estimates
Monitors and reports on project’s progress and performance
Plan, schedule and track projects and staffing
Establishes key metrics, KPIs
Develop project controls and risk management procedures
Responsible for training, managing and motivating team members
Resolves technical and operational issues
Requirements
Bachelor’s degrees in project management, business management or related field, (graduate degree preferred)
Must have at least 7 years of senior-level project management experience including leading large, complex projects
2+ years of experience managing projects involving power transmission lines in the utility industry is REQUIRED
Strong experience applying PMBOK knowledge is
REQUIRED ( PMP certification preferred)
Excellent communication, management, and interpersonal skills
Ability to run effective project meetings and trainings
Knowledge of different project management methodologies and organizational change management (OCM)
Strong experience in defining project plans and charters
RFP/Vendor Management experience
Solid technical understanding
Strong analytical skills
