Executive Director, Operations Pay Grade:

M7 Job Description:

The Executive Director of Walker Die Casting Operations sets strategic direction and oversees all aspects of the die casting and component machining efforts at site. This role is responsible for ongoing operations, internal use component insourcing initiatives, strategic external business growth, and overall site performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain dependable supply to all internal and external customer groups.

Implement Allison component insourcing launch strategies over multi-year period.

Develop and implement external growth strategies to fully use available site capacity.

Develop and fo4ster continuous improvement culture to ensure year over year metrics improvement.

Collaborate with internal and external customer groups on continuous improvement and new product launch activity, to achieve required cost and timing deliverables.

Collaborate with internal and external customers toward great outcome for everyone and Best-In-Class performance solutions for both parties.

Understand where site lags industry standards and develop and implement short- and long-term improvement plans.

Develop and implement to annual and multi-year business plans, and accurately forecast updates as conditions evolve.

Mentor workforce to achieve professional and career growth.

Assess workforce for best fit roles and responsibilities, recruit personnel that address identified resource gaps, and refine organizational structures to best support business function and goals.

Key member of the Operations Leadership Team that directs reviews of overall site performance and provides support and leadership to achieve overall Company goals and objectives.

Key Performance Measures:

Manufacturing performance KPI’s (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Environmental, etc.)

Revenue & margin target achievement

Sales $ / labor hour worked

Working capital % of sales

Local, State, Federal regulatory site compliance

Bachelor’s Degree – Preferred Science or Engineering

MBA Preferred

Experience:

15 Years in a manufacturing organization, with knowledge of die casting and machining processes preferred.

Ideally 3 or more years as part of a die casting operation.
