Our client, Mohawk lifts in Amsterdam, NY is looking for a Sales Director to lead their internal sales team and their external distribution network.
The Challenge:
As the Director of Sales at Mohawk Lifts, you wont just be managing a team; youll be spearheading our growth strategy. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to take our sales to new heights, ensuring that we not only meet but exceed our ambitious 5-year sales targets.
What Youll Achieve in the First 12 Months:
Strategic Growth: Craft and execute a robust sales strategy that ensures Mohawks brand products and our partner products thrive in the government sector.
Team Leadership: Lead and inspire a team of 4 sales professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability. Your guidance will be instrumental in their success.
Distribution Network Mastery: Oversee and optimize our distributor network, ensuring that our products reach every corner of the market.
Travel & Relationship Building: Spend approximately 25% of your time traveling, forging strong relationships with national accounts, attending trade shows, and ensuring our distributors are aligned with our vision.
Operational Excellence: Implement tools and metrics that provide clear insights into sales performance, distributor effectiveness, and market trends.
Brand Ambassador: Represent Mohawk Lifts, a brand synonymous with high-quality, American-made products. Your efforts will further solidify our reputation as an industry leader.

A seasoned sales leader with a track record of achieving ambitious targets.
A strategic thinker who can see the big picture, yet is detail-oriented and hands-on.
An excellent communicator, both in writing and verbally, comfortable interacting with customers via phone, email, and in-person.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with ten years of sales experience.
At least five years in a sales leadership role.
Proficient in Microsoft (Excel, Word, and Outlook) and related software applications.
Familiarity with Mohawk’s product line is a significant advantage.
Compensation: $130,000-$150,000 salary plus commission and generous benefits.
