Team Introduction

The AMS global accounting team is part of the Accounting and Reporting team. Our team covers the general accounting functions in the US, Canada and LATAM. We are the owners of GL accounting and oversee the month end closing process. We work across various accounting projects and provide technical support. We also support the year end reporting and audit inquiries as required.

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly driven Accounting Manager to support our rapidly growing Americas region, including US, Canada and LATAM. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and external auditors to provide valuable insights to support business operations. You will help to maintain an accounting policy manual on new accounting standards issued by the authorities to determine the impact on the company and implement new accounting standards, as required. You will be responsible for general accounting functions across the Americas region.

Responsibilities

Financial Analysis: Utilize strong analytical skills to assist in daily accounting and financial operations, including in-depth financial statement analysis and reporting.

Accounting Expertise: Stay up-to-date with accounting standards and assess their operational implications for the organization. Collaborate with the accounting headquarters team in Beijing to analyze accounting changes related to new product launches and business developments.

Industry Trends: Research and analyze industry trends, collaborating with global accounting/reporting teams to operationalize accounting practices for complex transactions.

Auditing and Compliance: Coordinate with external and internal auditors to facilitate audits, address audit issues, and ensure timely completion of audit requests.

Global Coordination: Partner with global accounting/reporting teams to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and internal policies. Translate and apply accounting standards to address complex accounting issues and assess the design and effectiveness of internal controls.

Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business partners and engineers, to implement process improvements driven by business needs.

Qualifications

Experience in financial statement analysis, financial accounting, or similar experience.

Strong analytical skills, including proficiency in Excel.

Prior experience in the Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) industry.

Experience in optimizing or redesigning existing processes to meet business needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

Accounting Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Financial reporting (US GAAP & IFRS), with a basic understanding of tax provision.

System Implementation: Experience in system implementation.

FASB Codification: Familiarity with the FASB codification.

International Experience: Experience working with LATAM countries and familiarity with LATAM accounting policies.

Certification: CPA license is a plus.

Job Information:

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $80000 - $184000 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
