Civil Site Manager

Abernethy Contracting is actively looking for an experienced Site Manager. This position will be under the supervision of our Vice President of Construction and will work with a team of construction professionals. The following job description encompasses many of the job requirements, however, other areas of responsibility may be required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS
Fully comprehend scope of work, subs, materials and all drawings/revisions.
Maintain project schedule by coordinating jobsite activities, deliveries, inspections and locates.
Communicate professionally with project executives, superintendents, clients, subs and vendors.
Take ownership of jobsite safety and presentation.
Work with project executives to understand deadlines, deliverables and critical path.
Coordinate material deliveries with vendors to maximize efficiency.
Create a schedule for in-house crews and subcontractors, including revised weekly schedules and projections.
Maintain a daily log of job site activities via HeavyJob.
Support field crews - secure emergency material, act as an intermediary with inspectors and answer questions.
Coordinate on-site and in-house pre-con with superintendents.
Review and coordinate actions in response to erosion inspections.
Identify permit needs, schedule inspections and coordinate testing in order to maintain production.
Work with superintendents to schedule crews and activities in a way that maximizes production.
Be present on-site during critical phases and activities.
Update client counterpart regularly about onsite schedules and activities.
Formulate RFIs in the field and submit through proper channels.
Drive production.
Communicate through foreman.
Always have a contingency plan prepared.
Scope handoff.
Document evidentiary information related to scope changes, CORs, etc.
Meet with project executives to review job status.
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS
Three years minimum experience as a Foreman.
Well versed in all scopes of site work.
Competent with inspections and permitting process.
Ability to utilize "software" to track production and process data.
Must have clear detailed communication skills.
Demonstrated competency with safety standards and requirements.
Any Certifications are a plus.
Possess a clean driving record.
Must pass a pre-employment background screening.
