Keystone Engineering is currently seeking an experienced Lead Piping Designer to join our Metairie team.
Position Type: Full-time
Travel Requirements: Occasional site visits required.
Essential Functions:
Constructability, operability, and maintainability of the project design.
Carry out site surveys, gathering information per job scope with or without client, walking down P&ID's and recognizing tie points, field routing piping.
Working with Lead Engineers/PM's and Multi Disciplines to complete project deliverables.
Development of design configurations associated with the various systems that apply.
Providing comprehensive, efficient, and cost-effective technical input into design.
Preparation of detailed design drawings, in accordance with engineering design, required as project deliverables.
Maintaining a Job Data Book which contains all the pertinent information used during project design.
Review of drawings for completeness, overall quality, and adherence to standards.
Able to perform full checks on other designers and drafters work before being sent out to the client.
Able to mentor staff.
Prepares and/or directs the preparation of final drawing plots and copies for transmittal relative to all project deliverables.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED.
15+ years working experience.
Field experience, able to walk down project per the client scope.
Strong Written and verbal communication skills.
Self-motivated, creative, organized, and solution advocate.
Experience Preferred:
Previous Oil and Gas experience.
