THE OPPORTUNITY
Fisher Phillips is an international labor and employment law firm, and we are hiring for a talented Staff Recruiting Specialist to support the needs of the firm. The Staff Recruiting Specialist is responsible for attracting, sourcing, assessing, and managing the hiring process of qualified staff candidates. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the talent acquisition process is efficient, effective, and aligns with the firms’ goals and values. In this position, you will work collaboratively with relevant department leaders, office administrators, and human resources team members to identify recruitment needs. This position reports to the Director of Human Resources.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITES
Candidate Sourcing
Utilize various recruitment channels, such as job boards, social media, networking, and referrals, to attract a diverse pool of candidates.
Proactively identify potential candidates through online searches and market research.
Build and maintain a talent pipeline to ensure a steady flow of qualified candidates.
Screening
Review incoming applications and resumes to assess candidates' qualifications and alignment with job requirements.
Conduct initial phone screens and interviews to evaluate candidates' skills, experience, and cultural fit.
Interview Coordination
Schedule and coordinate interviews with candidates and hiring managers.
Provide candidates with information about the firm, job role, and interview process.
Collect feedback from interviewers and facilitate post-interview discussions, if needed.
Collaboration
Partner with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and develop job descriptions.
Advise hiring managers on best practices for candidate selection and interview techniques.
Maintain effective communication and relationships with hiring managers, candidates, and external recruitment agencies.
Candidate Experience
Ensure a positive and professional candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
Provide timely and constructive feedback to candidates, whether they are selected or not.
Initiate and manage the offer and background screening process for final candidates.
Data Management And Reporting
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of candidate interactions and recruitment activities in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
Generate regular reports on key recruitment metrics, such as time-to-fill, source of hire, and candidate quality.
Required Skills
3+ years of proven success with recruiting and sourcing candidates, preferably in a legal or professional services firm.
Familiarity with applicant tracking software and other recruitment software.
Ability to work independently.
Must be detailed oriented.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent oral and written communication, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Must be extremely responsive to hiring managers and candidates.
Must observe confidentiality of personnel and firm matters.
Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
