Cyera is looking for a seasoned in-house counsel to negotiate commercial customer agreements, ensure compliance with compliance, privacy, and international laws, and work on other commercial law items that arise. This role requires a strategic thinker who can balance legal risk with speed to ensure we achieve the desired outcomes in the fastest & more practical way possible. The Director of Legal Affairs will report to the VP of Finance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Get to “yes” on customer agreements

Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts of varying sizes, shapes, types

Work closely with sales ops to enable the field to ensure that legal is as low friction as possible, and viewed as an accelerant to deal cycles

Create processes, templates, and other systems to scale the repetitive aspects of the job to ensure quick time to outcome for the field

Multi-task customer, vendor, and other related legal tasks, while making it look easy

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of 5-years negotiating commercial agreements with fortune 500 customers

Demonstrated ability balancing sales team demands & companies best interests - bonus if you’ve been recognized by sales teams you’ve worked with via annual awards

Derive intrinsic value from end of quarter sales pushes

Excellent & concise communication and negotiation skills, while possessing the ability to connect with and gain the respect of cross-functional stakeholders

Ability to make discretionary decisions with confidence and minimal guidance

REQUIREMENTS:

8+ years of in-house legal experience at a technology company selling into Fortune 500

5+ years supporting Sales and Go-To-Market

2 years of top tier big law experience
