The Role

The UI/ UX Designer will play a crucial role in designing intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces for our platform. As a member of the Product Team, this individual will be responsible for end-to-end work including design research, strategy development, design output, implementation, and iterative follow-up, ensuring product usability and aesthetics. The UI/UX Designer will report to our Chief Product Officer. This role will be based onsite in our Arlington, VA office.

Responsibilities

* Responsible for end-to-end work, including design research, strategy development, design output, implementation, and iterative follow-up, ensuring product usability and aesthetics

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and user needs

* Translate concepts into wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences

* Design user interfaces that are visually appealing, easy to use, and consistent with brand guidelines

* Generate high-quality content, including text, images, and graphical elements, to support user engagement and experience

* Work with Marketing to create images for the website, advertisements, and other relevant media

* Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to iterate and improve designs

* Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in UI/UX design

* Work closely with developers to ensure designs are implemented accurately and efficiently

* Continuously seek feedback and iterate on designs to optimize user satisfaction and engagement

Requirements

* Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, HCI, or related field

* 4+ years of proven experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role

* Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, or equivalent

* Experience using programming languages such as HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript

* Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies

* Excellent communication and collaboration skills

* Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

* Have a portfolio showcasing relevant UI/UX design projects and processes

* Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process is a plus
