Staff Product Design Engineer, Pixel

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience using computer-aided design tools such as 3D MCAD, NX, Creo, or Solidworks.
8 years of experience designing mechanical components such as plastic or metal parts, mechanical assemblies, printed circuit boards, or flexes.
2 years of experience leading engineering teams.
Preferred qualifications: Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
12 years of work experience in consumer product design.
Experience in shipping multiple products, in a Lead or Principal Engineer role.
Ability to form effective cross-functional relationships and to communicate product design and mechanical requirements clearly to non-experts.
Ability to deliver multiple large, complex, and mission-critical projects.
Knowledge of technologies used in consumer products (e.g., plastic injection molding, sheet metal, extrusion, die casting).

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $164,000-$252,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities Manage the system and part designs from concept to production.
Oversee suppliers and partners of subsystems and/or individual part design from concept to production.
Investigate design issues to improve designs with the goal of successfully delivering products to mass production.
Design for function, reliability, human factors, manufacturability, and cosmetic requirements.
Lead technical designs by driving team initiatives, mentoring engineers, and developing new processes.
