The Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) is responsible for leading the global financial planning and analysis function. This role involves strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis to support the company's decision-making processes. The Director of FP&A reports initially to the Chief Strategy Officer with an indirect reporting relationship to the Chief Financial Officer. This position will work closely with senior management and departments leaders to drive financial performance and strategic initiatives across our global operations.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:
Strategic Planning and Forecasting:
Lead the development of the annual budget, long-term strategic plans, and quarterly forecasts.
Collaborate with senior management to establish financial goals and objectives aligned with the company's strategic vision.
Analyze market trends, economic conditions, and competitive landscape to inform strategic planning.
Develop and maintain financial models to project future financial performance.
Financial Analysis and Reporting:
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators, including variance analyses versus budget, forecast, and prior year results.
Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with investor and lender requirements, global accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Business Partnering:
Act as a strategic partner to business unit leaders, providing financial guidance and support for operational and strategic initiatives.
Foster strong relationships with cross-functional teams to drive collaboration and financial accountability.
Lead financial review meetings with key stakeholders to discuss financial performance, risks, and opportunities.
Operational Efficiency:
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the FP&A function.
Develop and maintain financial models and tools to support business analysis and decision-making.
Ensure the effective use of financial systems and data analytics to improve forecasting accuracy and reporting capabilities.
Travel Expectations = 40% both domestic and international. Active US passport required.

Requirements
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) from four-year college or university and 10+ years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment is a plus
Proven experience in strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
Strong understanding of global financial regulations, accounting principles, and financial reporting standards
Skills
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
Proficiency in financial modeling, data analytics, and financial systems (e.g., ERP, BI tools)
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Strong attention to detail
Compensation
In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the compensation for this role is $130,000 - 180,000 per year, however, Vita Inclinata Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
