The Director of Global Total Rewards is responsible for developing and executing the organization's compensation and benefits strategy on a worldwide scale. This role involves overseeing the design, implementation, and management of competitive and innovative total rewards programs that attract, retain, and motivate top talent. The Director of Global Total Rewards collaborates with other HR leaders and stakeholders to align compensation and benefits initiatives with the company's business objectives. The Director of Global Total Rewards plays a critical role in attracting and retaining top talent, ensuring employee satisfaction, and aligning compensation and benefits practices with the organization's strategic goals. This position requires a combination of strategic thinking, strong analytical skills, and a deep understanding of global HR practices and regulations in the Americas, EMEA, and APAC regions.
Responsibilities :
Develop, refine, and execute a comprehensive global total rewards strategy that aligns with the company's long-term business goals
Evaluate the effectiveness of existing programs, policies and guidelines and ensure they areal market competitive, cost effective, and aligned with company strategy and goals
Responsible for balancing cost-effective solutions with competitive offerings
Oversee the design and administration of compensation programs, including base pay, variable pay, and recognition programs
Responsible for balancing localization with scalability
Ability to harmonize, HR policy, practices and infostructure while obtaining flexibility for regional/international scalability
Manage the company's employee benefits programs, including health and wellness benefits, retirement plans, and other fringe benefits
Ensure employee benefits programs, including health and wellness benefits, retirement plans, and other fringe benefits are competitive and cost-effective
Continuously monitor and analyze global compensation and benefits trends, ensuring the organization's offerings remain competitive and compliant with local laws and regulations
Administer and optimize executive compensation programs and equity-based incentives, working closely with executive leadership and the Compensation Committee
Collaborate with the HR team to link compensation and benefits to performance management processes and goal setting, ensuring alignment with the company's performance objectives
Stay informed about relevant labor and tax laws, ensuring that all compensation and benefits programs are compliant with global regulations, overseeing annual audits and required filings related to benefit and retirement plans
Experience working with federal contractors
Build affirmative action plans to ensure TR packages meet AAP requirements
Experience with wage determination contracts, equal pay reporting as well as regulatory audit pay structures
Develop and implement communication strategies to educate employees about their compensation and benefits, helping them understand the value of their total rewards package
Utilize data and analytics to assess the effectiveness of compensation and benefits programs and make data-driven recommendations for improvements
Manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers to ensure effective delivery of compensation and benefits programs
Develop and manage budgets related to compensation and benefits programs, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with financial goals
Provide expertise and support during mergers, acquisitions, or divestitures to ensure a seamless integration of compensation and benefits programs
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
Minimum of 10 years of experience in, and extensive knowledge of, total rewards, including compensation, health and welfare benefits, retirement plans, and well-being programs required
Key understanding of compensation principles including market analysis, benchmarking, base and incentive pay administration
Demonstrated HR leadership and a minimum of 5 years of experience in managing and developing high-performing teams
In-depth knowledge of global compensation and benefits practices, with the ability to navigate a complex landscape of regulatory requirements, international regulations and tax implications, including but not limited to, GDPR, FLSA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, USERRA, PPACA, and IRS regulations
Ability to assimilate information quickly and to grasp big picture concepts as well as details; demonstrated business and financial acumen to translate the needs of core business functions into solutions
Flexibility to respond quickly and positively to shifting demands and opportunities; ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple, detailed tasks
Ability to anticipate problems and issues and exercise good judgment in recommending resolutions
Demonstrated project management and process improvement skills
Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and compensation management software.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Compensation Professional, Global Remuneration Professional) may be preferred
Strategic thinker with the ability to translate strategy into actionable plans
Strong leadership and team management skills
Ethical and responsible, with a commitment to compliance and fairness in compensation and benefits practices
Ability to work effectively in a diverse, global, and multicultural environment
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
Job Type: Full Time
Pay: $165,000 - $175,000 annually
