About the Role
The Company is seeking a visionary leader for the role of Vice President for Research and Innovation. The successful candidate will be responsible for advancing the institution's research and innovation agenda, with a focus on promoting interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary research, integrating research and education at all academic levels, and ensuring the integrity of research processes and policies. This role involves stewarding the physical and computational infrastructure necessary for research leadership, establishing collaborative research partnerships, and participating in federal and state policymaking related to research and innovation. The VPRI will also serve as an advocate for continued investment in research capital and community engagement, support existing priorities, and identify new opportunities for growth.Applicants must have an earned doctorate and a scholarly record consistent with a full Professor at the institution. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing a complex organization, a strong commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice, and a successful track record of securing competitive funding. Desired qualifications include strategic leadership, experience in research infrastructure management, and a proven ability to foster transdisciplinary research initiatives. The VPRI will be expected to foster a culture of diversity and inclusion, support faculty success, and grow externally funded research. Collaboration with industry and other research partners, as well as a deep commitment to research compliance and ethics, are also essential.
