AECOM is seeking a Design Manager (Design Build) to be based in Orange, CA.

Job Responsibilities

Manages and leads a team of professionals, overseeing the design of large-complex projects.

Manages design effort, design schedule, and budgets.

Change and risk management.

Coordinates client needs and develops/builds on relationships for future opportunities.

Mentors, develops, and hires support staff.

Monitors contract compliance and leads project dispute/resolution process.

Leads and assists in the development of future design-build proposals.

Builds and maintains relationships with project owners/AHJ's.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree + Ten (10) years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Must possess CA State PE License

Preferred Qualifications:

20+ years of transportation project experience

Experience with design build delivery for final design

DOT Design Build Project Experience

Experience leading and managing transportation design-build projects with DOT's on large complex highway projects.

Experience with Caltrans, LA Metro, RCTC, and other agencies.

Experience managing a large team in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent Communication Skills and Ability to Lead Staff

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $170,000.00 - $261,000.00.
