**Job Summary**
Reporting to the General Manager, the Warehouse Specialist is responsible for managing warehouse inventory and procures, materials and services.
**Principal Responsibilities & Key Results**
* Knowledge of procedures for purchasing, receiving, maintaining, and issuing material.
* Receives material from vendors and common carriers by unloading trucks, and issuing material.
* Checks material for quantity, physical condition, weight, and capacity.
* Complete necessary tasks to secure material in inventory control (verify information, create class bin, data entry, etc.).
* Assist in implementing inventory control techniques.
**Knowledge & Skills**
* Experience in warehousing, procurement, and inventory management responsibilities preferred.
* Experience working with SAP or other computerized inventory management system.
* Knowledge of inventory management policies and practices.
* Establish and maintain a positive and professional working relationship with all individuals
* Operate personal computer with technical proficiency of standard business software
* Read, create and follow written policies and procedures
* Read, write and understand English
* Complete tasks on time without direct supervision.
* Operate effectively in a team environment.
* Knowledge of hazardous material handling procedures.
* Operate Company vehicles and equipment (e.g. forklift, plant vehicles, etc.) and maintain operating licenses and certifications. Valid driver license is required.
* Obtain with training and experience a CDL Class A license, DOT HAZMAT certification, etc. for making deliveries with a tractor/trailer if required.
* Knowledge of common wind plant materials.
* Inspect and maintain material handling equipment and machinery.
* Transport material between warehouse and site locations and maintain logs.
* Create releases, prepare and ship material to vendor for repair; store and maintain pending repair material.
* Arrange and ship hazardous materials to other locations, prepare documents and maintains logs.
* Expedite material as required.
* Maintain inventory records and complete inventory reconciliation.
* Perform quality control tasks.
* Identify and correct discrepancies in material and material storage.
* Perform inventory audits and make adjustment.
**Qualifications**
* High School Diploma or GED required
* Minimum of one-year general experience in purchasing, inventory management, accounting, sales or related business field.
* Working knowledge of purchasing policies, procedures, and practices.
* Working knowledge of general inquiry process and quotation/proposal evaluation methods.
