The Warehouse Manager is responsible for all warehouse activities such as ensuring the receipt, coordination, and safety of goods coming through a warehouse. Also ensures that orders arrive and are dispatched on time to the appropriate destinations and in the expected quantities.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Coach, develop and train team members in warehouse operations, including forklift driving certifications, technical knowledge of warehouse systems, equipment and process
* Implement cycle counting and inventory control measures
* Ensures accuracy, productivity levels and general maintenance of the warehouse.
* Review daily shipment schedules and plans and prioritize daily work schedule to meet customer and company delivery requirements.
* Develop and manage distribution budget and results including cost per unit load, productivity and variable expenses.
* Lead the development and implementation of Food Safety Fundamentals and Food Safety Plan(s) (via Product HACCP Plans or equivalent).
* Oversee the development, implementation and review and maintenance of the SQF 2000 (or equivalent Food Safety /Food Quality Strategy).
* Ensure the integrity of execution, maintenance and sustainability of the SQF 2000 (or equivalent Food Safety /Food Quality Strategy).
* Communicate to Plant and Division personnel all relevant information (trends, data, needs, non-compliances, internal and external audits, surveys, etc.) to ensure effective implementation and maintenance of the SQF 2000 System (or equivalent Food Safety/Food Quality Strategy).
* Supervise warehouse personnel to ensure that Company policies and procedures are adhered to and issue disciplinary action as warranted.
* Ensure that all warehouse operations are conducted in a safe manner and adhere to all corporate and divisional safety policies.
* Maintain all warehouse standards including but not limited to SQF/QA, OSHA, Sanitation and Inventory Control.
* Other duties and assignments as directed by management.
**Qualifications**
* Bachelor's Degree Preferred Logistics or Warehouse Management
* 5+ years complex warehouse experience with 3+ years supervisory / managerial experience
* APICS Certification preferred
* Microsoft Office Proficiency
* The ability to cope with multiple deadlines and tasks.
