**Job Summary and Qualifications**

Supervises the performance of Laboratory personnel within specialized sections of the clinical laboratory. Orients and trains within these sections and performs testing as needed. Performs duties with a perceptive depth of clinical laboratory tests and procedures, which require the exercise of independent judgement and responsibility. Thorough knowledge of CAP, TJC, CLIA regulations. Assists Manager and /or Director with projects as needed.

**What you will do in this role:**

+ Supervises workflow and staff; educates and trains employees, maintains daily work schedule.

+ Evaluates reagents, equipment, new test methods, QA and PI data.

+ Has thorough knowledge of CAP, TJC, CLIA regulations as each relates to Laboratory functions.

+ Participates in employee evaluations.

+ Ensures that all policies and procedures are performed as defined in section policy and procedure manuals approved by the Medical Director of the Laboratory.

**What qualifications you will need:**

+ Bachelors Degree

+ NCA Certified Lab Specialist, or Medical Lab Scientist

+ No Travel Required
