JOB DESCRIPTION
Top-Notch Strategic Planner needed in Dallas, TX!!
SUMMARY:
Works under limited supervision to advance Our Client tripartite mission as a trusted advisor to the Health System through strategic planning and business development. Reports to the Director, Strategy and Business Development within the Department of Health System Planning and Analytics.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Manages multi-disciplinary planning projects and regional business development efforts; scope of responsibility ranges from ownership of a single project deliverable to managing several complex engagements with multiple workstreams
Manages staff (including Strategy Analysts to Senior Strategists); scope of responsibility includes training, supervision, mentorship, and performance management
Demonstrates ability to perform analyses and make appropriate recommendations in the following domains:
Strategic Planning: Business plans for the Hospitals and Faculty Practice departments, including on-site and off-site locations, that include:
Recommendations for geographic expansion, revenue enhancement, or clinical distinction
Market analysis to evaluate competitive landscape
Relevant trends among important stakeholders (e.g., payer, provider, medical device, pharmaceutical, regulatory, etc...)
Historical and projected service and provider surplus/ deficit
Historical and projected demand for services (e.g., demographics, incidence/ prevalence of disease, top partnership needs, etc...)
Go-to-market strategy for new or expanding services
Volume and financial projections (including capital debt amortization and NPV analyses)
Risks, mitigation factors, and key performance indicators
Exit strategies if targets are not met within an acceptable timeframe
Service line and/ or program enhancement
Other high-priority projects, such as the evaluation of US News and & World Report’s Best Hospitals rankings including recommendations for improvement
Ad-hoc projects for the Hospitals and Faculty Practice departments, including on-site and off-site locations
Business Development:
Identification of opportunities for geographic expansion and/ or revenue enhancement (on and off campus) and provider growth requirements to support these initiatives
Profiling of potential acquisition or affiliation targets (including physicians and facilities)
Due diligence and associated recommendations for any type of regional business development project (e.g., partnership, affiliation, acquisition, etc...)
Productivity and compensation benchmarking; compensation plan strategy development
Tracking of all targeted growth objectives, due diligence, and associated recommendations
Delegates tasks, project workstreams, or projects to assigned staff and oversees progress, providing regular, real-time feedback
Develops assigned staff by supporting the creation and implementation of professional development plans in consultation with the Director
Takes ownership of own professional development through the creation of professional development plans in consultation with the Director
Develops and manages workplans to produce deliverables and meet target deadlines
Performs other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Master's degree in business or healthcare administration
Five (5) additional years strategic planning, or related, experience in complex organizations
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:

PAYABLE TERMS
