THE ROLE: Sustainability Analyst
Job Summary:
As a Sustainability Analyst, you will play a crucial role in monitoring, reporting on, and improving our sustainability initiatives. You will be a member of the Sustainability Team working across global operations and supply chains to support the implementation of Presidio's Sustainability Plan. Your responsibilities will revolve around collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and synthesizing data on energy and waste consumption and GHG emissions from multiple sources into compelling stories and reports, fostering strong relationships with stakeholders, and liaising with our Trade Compliance, Legal, Sales, Facilities, and Solutions teams. This position will be instrumental in translating our commitment to sustainability to our customers, investors, and partners.

Job Responsibilities:
Data Collection and Management:
Collect, compile, and maintain accurate sustainability data from various sources, including operations teams - Facilities, Proposals, Human Resources, Legal, etc. and responses to previous customer requests for information
Use Presidio provided tools to maintain data tracking systems to ensure data accuracy and accessibility
Manage documents and repository for GHG emissions inventory and responsible sourcing evidentiary artifacts
Collaborate with relevant departments to gather and validate sustainability data points
Gather publicly available information about supply chain ESG programs and progress and GHG emissions data
Participate in the design of the data collection strategy and data warehouse
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Analyze sustainability data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement
Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate key sustainability metrics and performance indicators to stakeholders
Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports for internal and external audiences, including senior management, regulatory agencies, and sustainability rating organizations
Research how Artificial Intelligence can facilitate or make the process of synthesizing regulatory data more efficient
Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with sustainability reporting standards, regulations, and industry best practices (e.g., SASB, TCFD, GRI, CDP, UNSDG).
Prepare and submit sustainability reports to meet regulatory requirements and stakeholder expectations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to document clear response guidelines, policies, and procedures, ensuring they reflect legal requirements and industry standards
Contribute to the development of policies, procedures, and guidance that support Presidio's Sustainability Plan
Recommend improvements to our Sustainability Plan, objectives and metrics
Audits and Assessments:
Coordinate internal audits or assessments of the relevant internal operations and activities to identify compliance challenges or areas of improvement. Address findings and recommendations to enhance sustainability reporting
Support external sustainability reviews and audits
Continuous Improvement:
Stay up to date with evolving regulations, industry trends, and best practices related to sustainability and ESG
Identify opportunities for process improvements in data collection, analysis, and reporting to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of sustainability efforts
Provide recommendations for sustainability initiatives based on data insights
Conduct benchmarking analysis to compare our sustainability performance with industry peers and competitors
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate closely with legal, finance, operations, and sales teams to ensure alignment on compliance requirements and facilitate effective communication
Support Presidio sales and operations teams with responses to customer requests for information
Work closely with internal operations teams, ensuring sustainability requirements are reflected in their standard operations procedures and processes
Work closely with external partners, suppliers, and consultants as needed
Required Skills:
At least 2 years of experience working in Sustainability, ESG or Environmental Research
At least 2 years of experience supporting, partnering, or interacting with internal business clients
At least 1 year of experience gathering, monitoring, documenting, or analyzing data
Familiarity with sustainability reporting requirements (SASB, CDP, TFCD, GHG Protocol, etc.)
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Excellent written communication skills, including contract review/editing and modification of contract terms
Strong ethical and moral compass, with a commitment to upholding the highest standards of integrity
Advanced Microsoft Outlook and Excel skills
Additional Desired Skills:
Demonstrated time management skills
Strong understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards (SASB, CDP, TCFP, UNDSGs, etc.)
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify complex data sets and generate meaningful insights
Exceptional communication and presentation skills for delivering training, reports, and updates to partners and stakeholders
Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Finance, Economics, Environmental Science, Business Analytics, or a related field
At least 3 to 5 years of experience gathering, monitoring, documenting, or analyzing data
At least 3 to 5 years of experience managing assessments and reporting through setting goals, developing, and implementing strategies, and completing performance assessments
At least 3 to 5 years of analytical data manipulation, compiling and analyzing quantitative and qualitative information
Ability to set direction, manage expectations, and lead cross-functional teams
Proficient in data management tools and software (MS Excel, databases, data visualization tools)
