We are seeking a talented and engaged Architect or Architectural Designer to join our team. This position offers a great opportunity to design and manage projects from concept through completion and to work with highly engaged colleagues committed to being a "multiplier of good"-doing work that creates a ripple outward of positive effects.

We are looking for someone with:

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience

Minimum 2 years in working drawings in Revit, including mid rise multifamily building construction documentation.

High proficiency in Revit required.

Strong familiarity and experience with multifamily is a must. Seeking candidates who are familiar with codes, program and constructability issues for this building type Demonstration of both personal values and experience in housing design, public interest design, and sustainable design.

Proven track record of fully managing at least one relevant project from start to completion-including managing staff, consultant teams, and client relationships

Forward thinking, proactive approach to project management

Experience in all working drawing phases and CA experience

Strong design and graphics skills, including hand sketching

Highly skilled in Adobe Design Suite, Illustrator, Photoshop and In-Design; Lumion a plus

Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills

Strong values as a collaborative team member and leader

Licensure in CA is preferred.

This is a full-time position and candidates located in the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles Area, or Birmingham, Alabama are strongly preferred . Open to potential remote opportunity for the right candidate. Our firm is extremely collaborative, working across offices as one seamless team. Currently the majority of staff are following a hybrid model of 3 days in-office and remote work. DBA has had success with this hybrid model and plans to support a flexible approach to work indefinitely. Salary commensurate with experience.

Salary Ranges

Birmingham, Alabama: $70k-100k

San Francisco Bay Area or Los Angeles Area: $85k-125k
