What You’ll Do
Senior Manager, Retail Development is responsible for increasing the footprint of Authentic brands in Retail department stores while delivering top-line revenue through strategic execution, detailed account management, and an in-depth understanding of core principles and best practices of Authentic Group, retail partners, and our best-in-class licensees.
What you’ll be working on
Leverage existing Retail relationships and establish new Wholesale and “Direct to Retail” (DTR) relationships that benefit the expansion of the footprint.
Build upon the licensee partners to gain an in-depth understanding of their business model and growth opportunities with respect to the retail business model.
Act as liaison between Authentic HQ, licensees, and Retail merchant and leadership team.
Forge a close working relationship with licensees to ensure operational excellence, including organization and preparation of line sheets, samples, sales presentations, and timely arrival of complete shipments.
Research the competitive landscape, developing and executing a strategy to accelerate the business growth and expansion of the footprint.
Develop a seasonal merchandising strategy to maximize product placement in high-traffic areas to ensure top-line sales.
Ownership of the deal process, including assembling detailed term sheets with concise business terms, working closely with legal counsel to draft licensing agreements, and adherence to established guidelines.
Track sales activity in CRM consistently and accurately.
Deliver sales and shipment numbers budget process.
Prepare accurate sales forecasts and sales reporting process.
Understand the retail P&L while tracking sales allowances, markdowns, and deductions, and leverage financial trends to sell brands effectively.
Visit retail space to ensure product compliance with visual merchandising and inventory management.
Must Haves
5+ years of advanced business development and licensing experience in fashion retail.
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field.
Strong working relationships with Dillard’s, JC Penney, and other department stores- experience working with mass retailers such as Walmart and Target is a plus.
Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word and proficient in retail math, analytics, planning, operation efficiency, and multi-tasking.
High business acumen in licensing and wholesale account management.
Experience working independently and exhibit excellent communication skills.
Strong influencing and networking skills, presenting up to leadership.
Team player with a willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
Must be willing and able to travel up to 30%.
