**Required Skills:**
Public Policy Manager, Northwest Responsibilities:
1. Work directly with state policymakers to promote the safe and efficient use of internet technologies and economic development in the region.
2. Monitor the political environment and identify opportunities to advance state and local policies that benefit the company, the state, and our local communities where we reside.
3. Work closely with industry groups, nonprofits and legislative organizations to promote company objectives for economic development and a safe, secure, and open internet.
4. Ensure that Meta cross-functional partners and internal stakeholders receive timely updates on developments.
5. Develop strategies for engagement with chambers of commerce, industry associations, non-profits, and civil society groups to advance priorities in region.
6. Provide support to the Director, Public Policy, Western US with respect to policy work and operational needs within their larger region as needed.
7. Willingness to travel (primarily in-region) up to 60% of the time based on need.
8. Manage relationships with state policymakers.
**Minimum Qualifications:**

9. Bachelors degree 6+ years of experience in state public policy, advocacy, or government affairs
10. Experience with the political process, policymakers, and stakeholders in region
11. Knowledge of technology and economic development policy and advocacy landscape in region
12. Experience working cross-functionally
13. Demonstrated experience creating and implement advocacy campaigns directly relevant to state government, including achieving short and long term milestones related to advancing policy, political and/or advocacy goals
14. Creative problem-solving, negotiation, and multi-tasking skills in time-sensitive settings
15. Experience communicating nuanced concepts to a wide array of audiences

$151,000/year to $216,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
