As a Product Owner you would be responsible for defining and driving features of our products. You will speak for our users and define the details for the Engineering team. You will work closely with a small team of other Product Owners and C suite. You will serve with the team ScrumMaster where you will shepherd features through the process, making sure they are done well and communicated appropriately. You will understand our constantly evolving priorities and align the work accordingly.

Areas of expertise should include:

Communication - you should excel at both written and verbal communication. You should be able to explain concepts and designs to a wide variety of audiences and be able to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical people.

Note-Taking - excellent at taking notes and circulating those to all attendees following discovery and other meetings

Leadership - you should be able to lead the subjects you own, effectively driving them through the organization.

Vendor Management - you should have experience managing an outside vendor and ensuring our needs are met, and our future vision is planned for while managing costs

Scoping and prioritization - you should be able to understand the big picture and the value that each small piece provides. You should be able to set clear priorities and help avoid distracting and derailing the team.

Technology - you should understand how to work with talented Software Engineers and drive the process. Know when to push and when to trust.

Story writing - you will understand the tech enough to write competent development stories for the developers

Design - while perhaps not a designer yourself, you should appreciate good design and user experience, and prioritize these concepts in the plan. Able to wireframe at least rough mock-ups for the stories

Analysis - you should be able to understand the keys to the business, and how to measure and optimize the most valuable things.

Proactive - we are a small team and don't know what we don't know. If you see an issue, seek to solve that issue.

Agile - we are agile and you should be too. Things change rapidly and we must adjust constantly.

Responsibilities:

Customers - Understand our customers, their priorities, and their pain.

Market - Know the market, the competitors, and what is next. Be able to compare our product to others and help us stay ahead of them.

Strategy - Collaborate with the team and make sure your priorities are always aligned with our strategy.

Partnerships - Understand our software partners and our goals of the partnerships. Ensure that we are getting and providing value in these relationships.

Vision - Understand and articulate the product vision internally and externally.

Communication - Have confidence with communicating with all members of staff including C suite.

Qualifications:

Real-world experience as a Product Owner for an internal or external Web-based Software Product.

Bonus points for fintech and/or call center experience.

Experience with Ring Central Studio

Software Dev or Design experience a plus

Bachelor's Degree in Business, or similar, or equivalent industry experience.
