Senior Enterprise Applications Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE
Peloton is looking for an intellectually curious, forward-thinking, adaptable and collaborative Senior Enterprise Applications Engineer who has a solid background in the Atlassian product suite and brings a diverse set of skills that can thrive in a challenging and exciting environment. This role is within the Enterprise Service Operations team as part of the broader Enterprise Technology organization.
The responsibility of this position includes technical operation, administration enhancement, maintenance, integration and roll out of enterprise-wide Atlassian-based solutions (e.g., Jira, Confluence, internal applications and related integrations and plug-ins). You will ensure that our Atlassian services are reliable and are aligned to strategic business initiatives, our goals, and our mission for self service and efficiency. While not a people management position, you will provide leadership to contributors on the team and improve team practices. A key focus of this role will be leading a project to transition our primary help desks (e.g., IT, Finance, People) from JSM data center to JSM cloud.
YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON
In partnership with product management, work with teams across Peloton to understand their needs for tools to solve problems, and how to best implement those requirements into our Atlassian product suite
Partner with vendors, internal IT Product Managers and work with multiple business partners to develop solutions against departmental roadmaps
Work with other members of the broader Enterprise Technology team for coordinated solution delivery
Administer and configure the Atlassian product suite including Confluence, Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Jira DC, Access, Atlassian Assist (formerly Halp), Status Page and various 3rd party add-ons
Lead implementation, management, and support of products and plugins across the entire Atlassian product suite
Provide recommendations to end-users and business leaders on best practices and standards within the Atlassian product suite
Develop performance indicators, dashboards, and advanced filters in Jira and Confluence to provide end-users and business leadership with relevant operational/performance metrics and status reports
Collaborate with internal audit and compliance teams to identify, remediate, and prevent issues and risks
Identify ways to improve Atlassian setup and process workflows and identify where functionality can or cannot meet user requests
Provide user management, training, and support for Atlassian product suite
Create detailed internal facing technical documentation and public facing self service guides
Apply built-in customization and third-party add-ons to extend functionality of the Atlassian product suite
Collaborate and help organize project priorities, team decisions, and project planning
Customize and improve workflows for multiple projects and create custom fields, new issue types, workflow statuses, transitions, post-functions, field configurations, and workflow schemes
Lead integrations to external systems with webhooks and API
Responsible for escalated issues driving them to resolution and root cause analysis
Ensure that our Atlassian services are reliable and are aligned to strategic business initiatives, our goals, and our mission for self service and efficiency.
YOU BRING TO PELOTON
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
5+ years of experience working in the Atlassian space, including administration, configuration and support of Atlassian products
Ability to administer Jira Software (on-prem/DC and cloud), Jira Service Management (on-prem/data center and cloud), Confluence (cloud), StatusPage, add-ons, associated plug-ins and extensions
Solid understanding of Atlassian architecture, API, database tables, application logs, email handlers, application links
Experience performing root cause analysis of user, application, and system-level issues
Ability to communicate effectively with members of all levels (from first-time Atlassian user to advanced technical users and administrators of integrated applications)
Good interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong working relationships
Experience with business processes and experience demonstrating Atlassian product suite to improve those processes
Experience to work in a constantly evolving, multifaceted, and Agile environment
Experience to navigate ambiguity, prioritize and juggle multiple requests across multiple platforms (Jira, Slack, email)
Conceptual and practical understanding of SDLC, ITIL, and Agile frameworks
