Genesis10 is currently seeking a Product Owner with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12 + month contract position.
Responsibilities: Create the technology roadmap for the product
Define and prioritize stories in the product backlog and articulate this to both stakeholders and the development team
Work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, and with the Product Manager in a scaled Agile model, to ensure there is alignment
Develop in the role of a Product Owner (Possess a working knowledge of the product, and basic understanding of the business or technology domain)
Ability to gather and document technical requirements
Create and prioritize work for a team, learning to collaborate with cross-functional teams
Creates and prioritizes stories in the product backlog
Refine stories with the team to ensure there are enough "ready" stories to load the next 1-2 sprints
Review and accept stories and make on-the-spot decisions regarding scope and requirements
Work in partnership with the team to ensure that optimum value is obtained through technology and through an advanced understanding of the business

Knowledge of Payments or Financial Services space
Familiarity with various project management tools
Experience delivering large projects with significant impact to multiple lines of business, that may have cross-functional or inter-departmental implications
Experience driving multiple projects simultaneously
