Sr. Network Administrator
Salary Range: $100k to $120k
Responsibilities:
Plan, implement, analyze, maintain, and support LAN/WAN/VPN and related operating systems.
Install, upgrade, and maintain network operating systems.
Oversee the operation of Windows servers, routers, switches, and peripheral equipment.
Maintain connections for LAN/WAN/VPN applications and operating systems.
Configure and install productivity tools, Windows servers, and various systems.
Write documentation and test/configure new server software.
Provide specialized technical assistance for new projects and systems.
Conduct research on new technologies and implementation strategies.
Recommend and implement system improvements.
Research and plan for new network protocols and operating systems.
Provide technical support to computer operations and programming staff.
Serve as a resource to other staff and provide user support as assigned.
Maintain schedules for system backups, server maintenance, system logs, and disaster recovery.
Evaluate new software application packages for agency needs.
Provide system maintenance for software packages, including diagnosing and resolving issues.
Train and guide end-users on various software packages.
Install, set up, and maintain Unified Communication equipment (desk phones, softphones, VOIP gateways, VOIP-enabled devices).
Install, set up, and maintain computer hardware and software.
Handle day-to-day issues, user questions, and problems.
Maintain accurate and timely equipment inventory.
Perform hardware upgrades and related activities.
Assist in relocating current equipment.
Assist in distributing new equipment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science/information technology or equivalent experience in network administration and support.
7 to 10 years of experience in network and system administration.
Preferred IT certifications: CompTIA Security+
Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)
Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator-Specializations: Messaging (MCSA)
Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP)
Nimble Storage Installer and Operator Professional (NIOP)
Experience with Storage Area Network (SAN): Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) Nimble Storage
HPE Storage Management Utility (SMU)
HPE Array Configuration Utility (ACU)
HPE Array Diagnostic Utility (ADU)
Experience with virtualization and cloud computing: VMware ESXi server
VMware vCenter server
Experience with Voice over Internet Protocol (VOIP): AT&T Hosted Voice Service (HVS)
Mitel Hosted VOIP
Vonage Cloud Business
Spectrum Enterprise Unified Communication
Experience with Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW): Sonicwall NSA series firewall
Fortinet Fortigate firewall
Barracuda Web Application firewall
Experience with Cybersecurity systems: Tenable io vulnerability scanner
Sophos security suites
Experience with Windows Server versions: 2021, 2019, 2016, 2012 Active Directory Infrastructures, DNS, and DHCP.
Experience with Exchange Server versions: 2019, 2016, 2013.
Knowledge of Exchange Online Office 365.
Knowledge of Cisco routing and switching protocols.
Knowledge of cloud-based wireless network management systems.
Proficiency in the latest versions of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Windows.
Proven experience with network cabling.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple projects.

Ability to travel via air and surface transportation.
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and access tight spaces (e.g., under workstations and server rooms).
