Accounting Manager Entertainment Industry Hybrid

District Partners has been engaged by a highly reputable entertainment industry client in the Los Angeles area to recruit a seasoned Accounting Manager for their team. This position will be client facing from the first day, and our client is looking for someone who thrives on providing high-quality service for clients in the music/entertainment industry. Responsibilities:
Effective and appropriate communication with client, client reps, and client employees
Accounts Payable/Receivable review and approval
Supervise staff and communicate with Business Manager to coordinate assistance when and where needed
Aid in team training and workflow organization, set goals for performance and deadlines, monitor productivity and growth against benchmarks; ensure tasks are learned in a timely manner
Continually develop management/leadership skills to maximize team engagement and reduce turnover
Prepare budgets with cash projections, financial reports and supplemental schedules (as directed) in an accurate and timely manner
Materially prepare and contribute to client meetings
Hard ticket settlement tracker review, analysis, and reconciliation
Oversight of Merchandising statements tracking, analysis and reconciliation
Completion of Individual & Corporate tax projections
Identify and proactively manage foreign touring, insurance, and tax mitigation issues
Assist with all day-to-day legwork involved with client real estate transactions, renovation projects, auto and other large purchases, both business and personal
Ability to research unique client issues and report to Business Manager with accurate, concise communication
Review and understand various contracts and create summaries
Royalty Statement analysis
Qualifications:
A minimum of 4+ years’ experience in the Music Industry as an Account Executive/Manager or relevant role in a Business Management Firm with Tour Accounting experience is required
A minimum of 4 semesters of college level accounting, including Tax Accounting, and general love of working with numbers is required
Has good judgment regarding industry social event behavior and exhibits professionalism when representing company in any capacity
Able to work independently, prioritize and maintain recurring tasks with minimal supervision
Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook/Excel and PDF
Ability to excel in and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
