POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for analyzing, designing, installing, configuring, maintaining, documenting and repairing network/systems infrastructure and application components. The ICS Network Administrator performs a wide variety of evaluation, maintenance, installation and training tasks to ensure the computer network performance meets Authority and user expectations. The ICS Network Administrator provides direction, information, and recommendations regarding network configurations and installations. Working independently, this position will provide network and system administration support for assigned systems. Position is responsible for coordinating strategic activities to include budget, system documentation, and upgrades. Additionally, the position will conduct or coordinate all routine maintenance activities and vendor support
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Configures and deploys switches, firewalls, and Security appliances
2. Design, setup and configure complex switching environments.
3. Maintain a thorough understanding of Local Area Networking.
4. Configures and installs client and server network software for upgrading and maintaining network and telecommunication systems.
5. Maintains multi-site network operations and software applications, operating systems and regular maintenance with both private and public facilities.
6. Provides support activities for Systems and Network issues.
7. Responds to inquiries from staff, administrators, service providers, site personnel and outside vendors and etc. to provide technical assistance and support.
8. Supervises the administration of systems, servers and related network infrastructure to ensure availability of services to authorized users.
9. Troubleshoots malfunctions of network hardware and software applications to resolve operational issues and restore services.
10. With limited supervision, perform advanced network administration duties, including troubleshooting and remediation of issues, network performance monitoring, resource utilization monitoring, load balancing, and network performance tuning
11. Develop, update, and implement detailed documentation standards for network configurations, connectivity, and structured cabling, which may include site and network topology diagrams • Manages assigned project activities, providing technical direction and guidance

QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
BS or BA in Computer Science, Information Systems, Network Administration or equivalent
EXPERIENCE
3 years of IT experience, with 2 of those as an Network Administrator
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
(any specialized certifications licenses or registrations required by TRA or other authority in order to do the job, including those the incumbent must be able to obtain)
• CompTIA Security+ or approved equivalent (Required)
• Valid Texas Drivers License (Required)
• CCNA (Required)
KNOWLEDGE
(Information or facts than employee must know in order to be able to perform the work)
Knowledge of computer information systems, hardware, software, network and email systems. Specific knowledge of systems administration and management principles. Knowledge of the operation and maintenance of industrial control system networks and protocols.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must have good interpersonal communication and organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to prioritize, organize, analyze and solve problems. Ability to manage multiple projects. Ability to work harmoniously with supervisors, peers, contract personnel, and vendors.

Follows general supervisory instructions, as well as policies and precedents open to judgment in some areas and more specific guidelines, policies and procedures in others. Based on knowledge of policies, precedents and procedures, may regularly assist others with standard work methods and problems.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Duties are generally carried out in an office environment, however, some field work is required and will include abnormal hours.
