Scientist, Metabolomics Job Type : Full-time
Description We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Metabolomics Scientist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, executing, and analyzing metabolomics experiments to support drug development efforts. This role requires a strong background in metabolomics, including experience with mass spectrometry-based metabolomics, as well as a deep understanding of metabolic pathways and their roles in disease.
Responsibilities Design and execute metabolomics experiments to support drug discovery and development efforts
Develop and optimize metabolomics assays using mass spectrometry-based platforms
Analyze and interpret metabolomics data to identify biomarkers and metabolic pathways associated with disease
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate metabolomics data with other 'omics data, such as genomics and proteomics, to gain insights into disease biology
Stay current with emerging metabolomics technologies and research to ensure the company remains at the forefront of the field
Requirements Ph.D. in biochemistry, analytical chemistry, or related field with a focus on metabolomics
Proven track record of designing and executing metabolomics experiments using mass spectrometry-based platforms
Deep understanding of metabolic pathways and their role in disease
Strong data analysis and interpretation skills, including proficiency with statistical analysis software and metabolomics data analysis tools
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Experience with drug discovery and development is a plus
