Responsibilities:

Monitor, configure, troubleshoot, upgrade, and install various network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points (WAP), and other associated equipment.

Document and update network physical layouts, logical connectivity, and device configurations with Microsoft Visio or equivalent application.

Managing all network back-up and restore activities.

Creating and reviewing security and traffic reports with management to adjust network and firewall policies.

Working with vendors and carriers to monitor and resolve carrier related issues.

Working with the help desk and end users to troubleshoot and resolve network issues.

Working with end users and providing end user help desk support on an as needed basis.

Skills and Experience:

Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP and other protocols

Working knowledge of routing and routing protocols

CCNA certified or 1-2 years of experiencing configuring and deploying Cisco switches

Experience with building and creating firewall policies.

Experience with Visio and Network diagrams

A security focused mentality.
