THE ROLE

We havean exciting opportunity for an experienced Broker to join our Houston basedteam working across the Fuel Oil Market. Responsible for promoting FISand arranging trades on behalf of clients, you will be dynamic and personablewith a passion for the financial markets. You will be a natural networker,having a proactive approach to generating leads and securing new business. Idealcandidates will have experience in the energy / commodities space.

Requirements Keyresponsibilities:

• Promote FIS as a company; providing market intelligence and analysisto clients

• Arrange trades via voice broking on and behalf of clients forexecution at relevant exchange;

• Create liquidity and price discovery with entities includingExchanges, SI’s, MTF’s, clearers, prime brokers and prop traders;

• Reconcile and enter trades in Trade Manager and/or relevant exchangeas necessary

• Maintain and enhance existing client relationships, making regular contactand tracking daily trading activities

• Proactively solicit feedback from industry participants via tradecalls, surveys, industry events, trade shows and conferences

• Produce a daily/weekly update of market prices, market direction forinternational desks

• On-board new clients following correct Compliance and Operations procedures

• Regularly assess client needs and financial conditions to identifyinternal cross-selling opportunities

• Understand the desk’s business strategy; identify and seize newbusiness opportunities relating to trends, future markets, products and clients

• Perform any other reasonable duties the company may require

• Good knowledge of Fuel Oil / Energy products and markets; soundknowledge of derivatives as well as underlying markets and technical aspects ofbroking - preferred

• Series 3 license will be required (must obtain within first 6 monthsof employment; company will cover cost)

• Willing to travel to visit clients - essential

• Degree in Economics or related degree – essential
