JOB SUMMARY:
Coordinate all aspects of conferences as assigned but not limited to: food and beverage requirements, effective meeting space usage, audio visual requirements, guest room types and rooming lists, group transportation, check-in and check-out needs, telephone and internet requirements, storage need and delivery, entertainment, etc.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage, plan, and execute assigned groups/conventions to include sales, negotiations, and conflict resolution ton Include cutoff and attrition, etc.
• Exemplify excellent customer service and create a positive atmosphere for guests.
• Promote increased average check spend by active up-selling to existing clients, and over contracted minimums.
• Review and approve secondary level event service and convention service managers, event orders, resumes and general correspondence.
• Communicate all group specifications and history to the appropriate department.
• Ensure all groups have actualized properly within 72 hours.
• Onsite overview of events for assigned groups and secondary level event service and convention service managers.
• Forecast group guestrooms accurately along with banquet revenues; manage group blocks.
• Host plan meetings, site inspections, pre-cons, as appropriate.
• Promote the proper use of function space and overall event spaces.
• Maximize group revenue by promoting all available goods, services, and attractions to convention groups.
• Plan and develop convention programs, resumes, agendas, and services according to client requirements.
• Create external communications to include contract addendums, etc
