POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for daily sales activity surrounding magnetic sensor products for a large key account in the Bay Area. This role includes building sales relationships, resolution of quality issues, price negotiations, formulating sales and marketing strategy and tactics, product qualification and internal coordination of the above. Responsible for budgeting, pricing, and forecasting for various product programs. They will be responsible for reporting and making recommendations to Senior management regarding ongoing programs and sales activities. The position also requires the individual to provide detailed market and technology trends to TDK factories, and ICT group, and manage sales strategy and expenses. The candidate will need to communicate with the customer in the USA and China and internally with factories and sales counterparts in Japan and China. Multi-lingual capabilities are a strong benefit. The role will give the individual the unique and valuable experience of focusing on cutting edge product development and design in activities leading to the growth and expansion of both existing and new TDK products and materials.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

• Budgeting. 5.0 Work with account team members and upper management on budget.

• Sales Forecasts. 10.0 Prepare sales forecasts for customers by quarter and annually.

• Technical Information. 20.0 Provide technical information to customers.

• Sales Development. 10.0 Develop sales calls programs for current customers.

• Customer Relationships. 10.0 Maintain customer relationships by interfacing with customer, staff (engineering, purchasing, etc.) on a regional basis.

• Travel Time. 10.0 Time spent traveling to meetings or for other purposes. Does not include commuting between work and home. Some international travel required.

• Product Presentation. 10.0 Illustrate features of products to current or potential customers.

• Selling. 10.0 Meet with or in other ways communicate with customers towards the end of selling company products.

• Monthly Sales Reports. 5.0 Plan and/or implement sales strategies.

• Sales Planning. 10.0 Plan and/or implement sales strategies.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree required; Degree in Business or Electronics preferred.

Experience:

3 plus years of experience in the Electronics Industry, experience in passive components and sensors preferred

Computer Skills:

Word, Excel and Power Point required

Other:

Japanese Language skills a strong benefit
