Job Description
We are looking to hire a Senior Software Engineer with exceptional skills using Java to build back-end services that operate within a distributed systems environment. The project will work on developing our streaming platform the next generation of ourCortex Data Lake (CDL), which enables AI-based innovations for cybersecurity with the industry’s only approach to normalizing and stitching together an enterprise’s data.
CDL is built to benefit from public cloud scale and locations ready for elastic scale, eliminating the need for local compute and storage. CDL has strict privacy and security controls in place to prevent unauthorized access to sensitive or identifiable information. Its infrastructure is secured with industry-standard best practices for security and confidentiality, including rigorous technical and organizational security controls. Your Impact
Solve complex problems in data ingestion and storage to facilitate AI/ML analytics and dashboards.
Tackle new and challenging problems by building a new generation of highly scaled data processing and analytics systems for use in AI-powered use cases.
Contribute in architecture, design and development of features.
Suggest and implement improvements to the development processes.
Work with DevOps and Technical Support teams to investigate and resolve critical customer defects.
Qualifications Your Experience
BS or MS in Computer Science (or related) with a total of 5+ years industry experience
8+ recent years of recent experience as a backend Java developer in a distributed systems environment
8+ years of hands-on experience building large enterprise applications in Java
Experience working on cloud environments, ideally Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Good understanding of design patterns
Good communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Nice to have
Knowledge of databases SQL, NoSQL, Time series, GraphDB, etc.
Experience building a data lake solution.
